Why m I writing this blog?

I have none to talk about my secret love. I love him so much, but m I doing the right thing? Is my mind clouded by love? I m doing all these things behind the back of my family, who is strict, but they love me with all their heart. M I betraying them? Should I continue this relationship?

Please be my listening ear, help me with advice and help me keeping him by my side. Thank you.

Work and a relationship

How to combine it? I need to work up to 9 hours a day, then I go visit my hunny and I have to be home before 19:00 (yes..although I m 28 I need to follow my parents rules)

Yes, I see my hunny every day. I go to his appartment every day after work. Luckily at the moment I m working close to the appartment. It is going to be horrible when I have a new assignment further away. The best would be ofcause an appartment close to my parents house. But the line to rent a house I can afford closeby is 3+ years. A more expensive house would be easier to get, but then I need to find a way to earn more money.

But I m glad already, that he is here rather then in Sweden. I just have to do my best and hope for the best.

Life ain't easy, but with a lot of love it is at least bearable.

World of Warcraft expansion

As a previous addicted WoW player, I m still playing it casually. But lately with all the announcements on the upcoming expansion. I ain't really motivated to play. Everything you do now is in vain, because even blue level 83 gear rocks the best epics in the game now. Why go through all the trouble to get it now in annoying pugs?

I m waiting anciously on official announcement of the release date, maybe they will announce it during Blizzcon. I get all my information from http://www.mmo-champion.com it is a really great site.

For the rest, I m just trying to clean up my bank for new stuff while leveling up, I tend to save up alot of crap, but for some weird reason, all those crap sell for nice amounts of gold.

So I started searching for another mmorpg to play till the expansion. I've come by Guildwars, but since guildwars 2 is upcoming too, I ain't really tempted to try Guildwars 1. There are loads of free to play games around nowadays. You can play for free, but if you want special items, you will need to use real money to buy ingame currency to buy it. Not too bad of an idea. At the moment I m trying Runes of Magic. At first it seemed like a WoW rip-off, but it is actually a nice game. Anyone tried it and liked it?

Happy day

Due to some family stuff and my hunny needed to study for a test, we haven't seen eachother for 3 days. We have been phoning and texting eachother every day. But nothing beats being able to hug him tight and kiss him.

And it is not like we are in our 'honeymoon' weeks, we are together for 2 years now. 1 year online and 1 year really together. Our love is just growing and not diminishing. I hope that won't ever happen.

But I guess nothing is certain in life. My parents always warned me about non-chinese. 'You can't trust them, they will divorce you within 5 years and leave you behind with kids'. Is that true? I have the feeling that chinese people divorce as easily. What do you think?

My purity

My hunny always have honored my wishes. I told him that I m not allowed to have sex before marriage and he respects that. But I m afraid that without this, our relationship will end. Love isn't complete without that sign of affection. It will till take 3 years before he graduates and finds a job. Then he can marry me, but can a man not have sex with his girlfriend for that long?

I just don't want to feel sorry about it, I m putting all my effort into this relationship and I don't want this great relationship to end because of my parents wishes.

What should I do?

Together now what?

Being together is great, having the person you love at your side is greater. But what do you do when you are together?

Go out? Goto movies? Go out dining? Go bowling? Go to amusement parks? These are all fun, but they cost money and with the rent of the apartment I can't afford to do a lot outside. It was better during the summer, then we could goto the park and enjoy ourselfs, but now it is rainy and getting colder. Due to the lack of money, we are condemned to stay inside. Will this have a negative effect on our relationship?

I need more ideas on how to make more money, any suggestions?

Meeting your love through World of Warcraft

Is it weird to find your love through an online mmorpg? I don't think that we r an unique case, I have heard from a lot of online friends from WoW that they had similar cases. But most of the time it is the woman moving to the man rather than the man moving to the woman. But I haven't found a couple that lasted longer then a year. This fact worries me.

Is it pathetic to meet someone online and date that person?

Before Raemon I already had my share of online love already, but it never turned into something serious like this. Think of it, you are playing a game every day for hours and chatting with the same people for hours. Most of these people are from the same guild as yours. And with your guild you put alot of time and effort into killing raidbosses, you share disappointments and happiness. You learn about their backgrounds, family,  problems and eventually you will turn into friends.

Are the people that play online games geeks? No, in WoW I've met managers, accountants, controllers, paramedics, soldiers, students, college kids and many more. WoW is played by a large variety of people and that is what makes it alot of fun besides the gameplay.

I knew Raemon from my hardcore raiding time. My first impression of him was that he is a very sweet and gentle guy, he likes to help people out and doesn't give up easily, but I wasn't impressed of him by the fact that he doesn't have any future plans, he just stays home and plays WoW.

When I came back from my long break from WoW, he was still playing and he still remembered me, which made me very happy, so I chatted with him. The chatting became longer and longer, I learned more about his background, his sad childhood, his ideas and more. I started to realize that we had alot in common and that it feels really really great to chat with him. I could chat with him about all my problems, my thoughts and my idea's. He became my closest friend. Is it because you can talk to people easier when you can't see them? Chatting with him made me so happy.

This feeling of hapiness is it love?

How it started (4)

Then one day we finally took the big step, he moved to my country. I was so happy when he arrived, but also very worried, what if this doesn't work out? I'm putting alot of effort and money into this. What if he doesn't graduate? What if he can't find a job after his graduation? What if my parents won't accept him? So many questions, so many doubts.

This step is very unlike me, since I never liked to take risks. But he is the love of my life and I have the feeling that I won't find anyone like him anymore. My mind and my heart were fighting a battle. And as always the heart wins over the mind. I'll just do it, enjoy it and hope for the best.

So now he lives in my country, will our love last? Will everything work out? This is the start of my virtual love becomes real.

Help me keep my hunny here

Please help me with donations, I need all the help I can get to pay the rent of the appartment. We love eachother deeply and don't want to be seperated again. I m working 10 hours a day already, but it is still not enough. What can I do?

You can donate with the button on the top right navigation bar. That is the easiest way, but Paypal charges costs on donations made this way. Of every dollar/euro, around 0,65 cents is left for me. Donating personally on my email maylin243@gmail.com would mean that I receive the full dollar.

How it started (3)

In the end we decided that he moved to my country. I had a job, a steady income and it would be very hard for me to leave my family, they would have thrown me out of the family for doing something like this.

This decision leads to new problems. Where was he going to live? He can't live with me and my parents, so I had to find a place for him to stay. In the end I rented a little appartment for him and I visit him every day. But the rent of this appartment is killing me, it is taking half of my income. So I have to find a way to earn more money, but that is easier said then done. I have a full time job already, so how can I earn more money?

Putting that aside, our main focus is to make my parents accept him when I finally introduce him to them. So he enrolled in a local university in a study Economics and business. He is doing great and passed the first year without problems, I hope that the second year will be as good. After his graduation, he hopes to find a job here. With an university grade and a job, I hope that I can finally introduce him to my parents and that they will accept him as my partner, though he is still 5 years younger then me, but there is no way to change that.

Is my hopes based on stupidity? Is everything I try to archieve in vain? How can I earn more money? Please advise me.

My dilemma

My parents always had high standards for their children, we needed to be the top off the class, we needed to go to university. We can't go out till late. We weren't allowed to play outside with other children, we weren't allowed to sleep over. We need to live in our parents house till we are married.

But my biggest dilemma is the fact that I m only allowed to marry a Chinese guy that older then me, has an academic grade and earns enough money to support me.

The problem is... I fell deeply in love with a Swedish guy that is 5 years younger then me, hasn't finish his studies and has no job.

Should I give up this love or should I give it a chance?

How it started (2)

When I landed at the airport, my heart was beating like crazy, my legs felt numb. I didn't dare to go out the gate. After I finally calmed myself down, I went out the gate and saw him sitting there quietly waiting for me. He was so cute, I walked up to him and said 'Hi'. He got startled, stood up nervously and said: 'You look different'... Well, there goes the romantic first time meeting. He didn't ment it bad, he wanted to say that I look better then online, but he was so nervous haha.

I had a great time there. He is just the guy I've met online, just abit more nervous. But that just makes him cuter. He treated me as a real gentlemen and didn't do anything inappropriate to me. After this trip, I realized I do love him and I became his girlfriend.

After this trip we visited eachother every 2 months. Long distance love is really hard, because if you really love someone, it is hard to be seperated from eachother. But visiting eachother is very expensive, we couldn't keep this up for a long time. We needed a better and definate solution.

And the only solution we could only think of is to move to eachother. Either me moving to him or him moving to me. Either way one of us had to leave our family, friends and birthcountry behind and move to a strange country. And that is a really really hard decision.

How it started (1)

Everything start with the basics, people are lonely, people try to connect with other people, trying to form relations and we weren't different from that, the only different thing was, that we connected through an online game called WoW.

How does an online relationship start? It started with chatting, chatting and more chatting, first through text, later through webcam, you get attached to eachother and before you knew it, you think that you are in love. I delayed it as much as possible, he lives in Sweden for god sake, and who says that he is who he seems he is? Besides that, my biggest problem is that my family wouldn't ever allow a relationship like this. He is not a Chinese and he has no job and no education.

But I was lonely and he was lonely, we have alot common and it felt so great to talk with him, so being with him might be even greater.

After half a year of chatting, he asked me if I wanted to go visit him in Sweden, I can stay over in his appartment. In my heart I knew this can be dangerous, going there all alone, staying over in a 'strangers' house, what if he was a rapist of something like that. But love clouded my mind and I decided to take the chance, I told my family that I went on vacation with some friends ( I got a friend to cover for me) and went to Sweden. Up till now, I never told him that I loved him, nor was I his girlfriend, I went to visit him as a friend.

Was this stupid of me?

About him

When we met 2 years ago:
He is a Swedish guy, 21 years old  living in Sweden, no job, not studying.

His family:
His family is very open minded, sweet and warm. He was raised free and without much restriction

Now:
He is 23 years old now, living in England (not together with me), studying Economics at a local university.

About me

When we met 2 years ago:
I m Chinese woman, 26 years old from England. Just started working as an advisor financial systems.

My family:
My family is very traditional, my dad is the head of the family, we celebrate all the traditional Chinese holidays and follow traditional Chinese rules. That means that I m not allow to go out clubbing, I need to be home before 22:00, I need to live in the familyhouse till I m married, I need to stay pure before marriage and above all I m only allowed to marry a chinese man.

Now:
I m 28 years old now and still working as an advisr financial systems. Happily and deeply in love with my boyfriend Raemon.

How we've met

I would describe myself as an average girl, there is nothing outstanding about me and I don't like to get too much attention. I grew up with social problems due to my timid nature and my family circumstances.

What i liked the most is playing games, roll playing games (rpg's) are my favorite type of games. It didn't took long after the release of World of Warcraft (WoW) before I totaly lost myself in it. I became a hardcore player. But this blog ain't about the dark part of my life as a hardcore gamer, it is about the love of my life I've met during that period.

I've met the love of my life 5 years ago, he joined the guild  (group of people you play together with to kill bosses in WoW) I was in, but it took 3 years before we really 'met'.

After 3 years of  hardcore WoW I finally noticed that I was wasting my life. I quitted WoW and started to put my life back on tracks again:

I started to work on my body, since childhood I always were a chubby girl, but due to long hours of gaming, I got really really fat. I weighted 80 kg's with a length of 1,63m. Now I m weighting 63 kg's and I m working to get my weight to around 56 kg's

I've found a job, it is a nice decent job and far better then sitting at home gaming.

But even with all the changed I've made in my life, I still couldn't change my timid nature, I had problems making friends and don't even talk about boyfriends, I m the kind that no man wants or so I thought.

So my days after work and weekends were just tv, tv and more tv. After a while tv gets boring and once a gamer, always a gamer, so I started playing WoW again. Though I have learned my lession, I just play it casually.

There we 'met' again.
